In some cases – the reason is normally commercial rather than technical – the bundled option is not pursued. In this case, the software developer can simply create the PCF.
Alias can supply ISOGEN as a standalone application, in which the user selects the PCF to process and the style to apply. ISOGEN runs and the drawing(s) created. The application is known as I-Run™. In some cases, especially when the host application does not reside on a Microsoft Windows platform, the service-based application I-Serve™ is used instead.
I-Run has a user interface and comes in a bundle with I-Configure.
