I-Run™

Standalone ISOGEN

For 3D CAD/CAM piping design systems users who wish to produce ISOGEN isometrics but the system used does not currently have ISOGEN bundled with it, Alias provides I-Run, a standalone application used to post-process the PCFs produced by these systems through Personal ISOGEN.

I-Run is simply a thin graphical user interface that sits on top of Personal ISOGEN (a personal copy of ISOGEN), and its sole purpose is to automatically produce isometric drawings from piping data files. I-Run is used when individual users must generate their own isometric drawings.

How it works:

• Install I-Run on the client machine that has the 3D plant/piping design software installed
• Use I-Configure to set up the network project and a drawing style
• Model pipes in 3D before exporting PCF files, one per pipeline
• Start I-Run and select one or more PCF files to process
• Choose a project and a drawing style
• Click the Generate button to produce isometric drawings via ISOGEN

I-Run does not possess any features to alter the design. All design changes have to be made in the 3D piping model before new PCFs are extracted and reprocessed through I-Run to produce revised drawings.

Concurrent user licensing of I-Run is provided via FLEXlm software licensing.

I-Run is a simple application requiring no formal training. Piping users will quickly learn how to use it.

I-Configure is supplied with I-Run. Alias recommends that project administrators receive training in this complementary application so that they fully understand how to use I-Configure to set-up projects and isometric styles for their initial and future projects. In conjunction with this training, Alias also provides implementation services.
